The Indian government announced on Tuesday (November 10th) to introduce a series of reforms that relax current restrictions of FDI (foreign direct investment). By doing so, Prime Minister Modi is trying to respond to the previous criticism of the stagnant progress of his reform plans.

The Indian government promises to relax the restrictions in 15 specific industries, including the FDI in broadcasting and civil aviation fields. Foreign investments can be introduced to India directly, but with a maximum percentage, which may vary from industry to industry.
