Xinhua News Agency, New Delhi, December 2 (Reporter Zhao Xu) According to an Indian media report of the 2nd, the Indian Navy recently announced plans to build six offensive nuclear submarines to enhance its overall combat capability.

According to reports, Sunil Lamba, Chief of Staff of the Indian Navy, told the media on December 1 in New Delhi that the nuclear submarine program was a secret project that has now taken off.

It is reported that India currently has two nuclear submarines, namely, the “Chakra” leased from Russia and the indigenously manufactured “Enemy Annhilator (Arihant)”.
