Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, December 5 (reporter Tan Jingjing) Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli met with visiting Vice Chairman of the Indian National Transformation Commission, Kumar on the 5th. He is here in Beijing to attend the third dialogue between the China State Council Development Research Center and the Indian National Transformation Commission.
Zhang Gaoli said China attaches great importance to developing Sino-Indian relations. In recent years, Chairman Xi Jinping has met with Prime Minister Modi on several occasions and put forward detailed plans and outlines for the development of bilateral relations. Both sides should conscientiously implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, continuously increase mutual political trust, promote mutually beneficial cooperation, properly manage their differences, promptly consult in order to resolve problems (arising in the course) of pragmatic cooperation and advance China-India relations forward along the right track. We hope that the two agencies in China and India will step up their lead role in fostering exchanges between their think tanks and bring up realistic and effective policy proposals for realizing mutually beneficial cooperation and win-win development of both countries.
Kumar said the Indian side is ready to work with China to promote economic restructuring and development and actively expand cooperation in different fields such as economy and trade, investment, infrastructure and manufacturing.
