In the rural areas of Myanmar, cattle are still the main working animals, and ox carts are still a common means of transport. At the tourist attraction at Bagan stupa, the white ox in the cart are beautifully decorated red and green. In addition, colorful plastic flowers are inserted in the cart. Foreign tourists take the oxcart as a popular choice to experience the local traditional culture. It is said that most Burmese people do not eat beef, not for religious reasons, but because they believe that cattle are hard-working for a lifetime and cannot bear slaughter.
