Russian Satellite Network reported on June 8 that, according to data provided by the Johnson Space Center under the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), nearly half of the satellites in the Earth’s orbit are American satellites.

According to the report issued by a subsidiary of the Johnson Space Center, there are currently 7,070 satellites in orbiting the Earth (including satellites in orbit and out of service), of which 3395 belong to the United States, 1553 belong to Russia and the former Soviet Union, and 453 belong to China.
